Lydia & Gunter : Andaman Saltwater fishing
|» Austrian angler Gunter travelled to India with his girl friend Lydia , It was their first trip to India & opted to go for Saltwater fishing in Andaman Islands, The trip was organized to fish around Havelock Islands . During the trip 02 anglers had exclusive boat with on board Captain & guides.
Fishing trip commenced at slow pace as no fish was caught on day 01, Anglers But day 02 onwards the action started , the anglers used jigging / trolling & popping techniques , On morning of day 02 as the boat took off & reached the deep water, we were busy admiring the Sea eagle & suddenly our captain jumped from his seat & grabbed the rod , which was on full bend, & straight away he said it a GT, Lydia took over the rod & tried to pull its as far as possible, But the fish was kept diving in deep waters after as 20 mins battle this GT was landed with chewed plug. & scaled to 20 kg.
This action packed trip lasted 10 days , with 5 fishing days during fishing days Gunter & Lydia landed more than 15 fish including GT , groupers , sea trout & Barracuda , The GT’s caught were among 10 -25 kgs bracket. With the largest catch of 30 kg GT.
