Not many anglers who have pursued the Golden/Chocolate Mahseer fish in India can claim to have made a cast in the largely unexplored waters of the remote Dibang River in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh.

The river originates in the snow-covered southern flank of the Himalayas, close to the Indo-Chinese border, and flows southwards to meet the mighty Brahmaputra. Along the way, it is fed by as many as a dozen tributaries, big and small.
